# Asset Panda Pro app for Jira

Asset Panda Pro can be added to Jira as an app, enabling users to peform the following tasks:

* Access Asset Panda Pro from within Jira issues
* Search and view asset records
* Link one or multiple assets to Jira tickets from within the ticket view, without switching to Asset Panda Pro
* Open full asset details without leaving Jira
* View linked Jira tickets inside Asset Panda Pro (bi-directional visibility)

### Prerequisites

* Jira admin access (for installation)
* Asset Panda Pro account credentials

### Install the Asset Panda Pro app

Only Jira admins can install the app directly. Non-admins must select **Get it now** and then **Submit request** for an admin to approve.

1. Log into your Jira instance as an administrator.
2. In the navigation bar, select  **Apps** > **Explore new apps**.
3. Search for **Asset Panda Pro** in the [Atlassian Marketplace](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/).
4. Select the app tile to open its details page.
5. Click **Get app**. Once installed, a success message confirms the app is ready to use.

### Access Asset Panda Pro inside a ticket

1. Open a Jira ticket.
2. Click the **app actions** icon (next to **+**) at the top of the ticket.
3. Select **Asset Panda Pro**. The **Asset Panda Pro** panel is added to the ticket.
4. In the Asset Panda Pro panel, enter your **Email Address** and **Password**.
5. Click **Log in**. The list of available accounts is displayed.
6. Select the account to use.

### Search for and link assets

1. Use the **Search** bar to find records, or browse the available collections.
2. To filter the records by a specific field value, click <i class="fa-filter">:filter:</i> next to the search field and then enter the filter criteria.
3. Expand a record to view key fields (for example, **Amount**, **Device ID**, **PO Number**, **Vendor name**, or **System ID**).
4. Click **View record** to open the full asset record in Asset Panda Pro (opens in a new tab).
5. Click **Link to Ticket** to associate the asset with the current Jira ticket. Once linked, the button changes to **Remove from ticket**, confirming the link. Click it again to unlink the asset.
6. Toggle **Show linked** to filter the list to only assets already linked to this ticket.

### View linked tickets inside Asset Panda Pro

1. Open the linked asset record in Asset Panda Pro.
2. Go to the **Tickets** tab.
3. Under **Jira**, view all linked tickets with **Ticket ID**, **Status**, **Ticket Subject**, **Assignee**, **Requester**, and **Last Updated**.
