## Core Application Updates <a href="#core-application-updates" id="core-application-updates"></a>

### Expanded Filter Operators in Custom Role Limit Record Permissions <a href="#check_mark-expanded-filter-operators-in-custom-role-limit-record-permissions" id="check_mark-expanded-filter-operators-in-custom-role-limit-record-permissions"></a>

**Limit Record Permissions** in custom roles now support an expanded set of condition operators by field data type, allowing administrators to configure more flexible, exact-match access rules without tedious workarounds.

* The **Condition** drop-down in Limit Record Permissions is generated directly from the field's data type, replacing the previous hard-coded list.
* Administrators can apply six essential operators across supported field types:
  * **Is equal to**
  * **Is not equal to**
  * **Is any of** (supports multi-value chip input and comma-separated copy-paste)
  * **Is none of** (supports multi-value chip input and comma-separated copy-paste)
  * **Is empty**
  * **Is not empty**
* The `Is any of` and `Is none of` operators are now fully supported across Single Select, Multi Select, and Pull From fields, allowing you to select multiple allowed or restricted values in a single rule.
* The configured permission rules are consistently enforced everywhere records are accessed, including collection views, record details, side panels, relationships, search, reports, dashboards, data exports, imports, bulk updates, forms, mobile apps, and APIs.
* Exclusion rules (such as `Status is not equal to 'Disposed'`) correctly include records with blank/empty values, ensuring users aren't unintentionally locked out of unpopulated records.
* To ensure consistency and prevent unauthorized access during single-record opens, audits, and exports, the following operators and capabilities remain out of scope for this release:
  * **No Partial Text Search**: `Contains` and `Does not contain` are not offered for text-based fields (Text, Long Text, Email, URL, Barcode, Address, IP).
  * **No Numeric Comparisons**: Relative number comparisons (`Is greater than`, `Is less than`, `≥`, `≤`) are not offered for Numeric, Currency, or Percent fields.
  * **No Date Ranges or Dynamic Date Tokens**:
    * Relative date operators (`Is before`, `Is after`, `On or before`, `On or after`, `Is within`) are not supported.
    * Dynamic relative date values (`Today`, `Yesterday`, `Tomorrow`, `Number of days ago`, `Number of days from now`, or comparing one date column to another) are not supported.
    * *Note: Exact date matching (*`Is equal to`, `Is not equal to`, `Is empty`, `Is not empty`) remains fully supported via the standard date picker.
  * **Signature** and **Attachment** fields continue to be excluded from the Limit Record Permissions field drop-down.

### Flexible Phone Number dormats & International Validation <a href="#check_mark-flexible-phone-number-formats-and-international-validation" id="check_mark-flexible-phone-number-formats-and-international-validation"></a>

**Phone** fields have expanded formatting and validation support, allowing organizations to configure, capture, and display domestic and international phone numbers in standardized, regional, or flexible formats.

* **Configurable Formatting Rules**: Administrators can define specific formatting styles in Phone field configuration (`Field Settings → Phone Format`), choosing between standard regional masks, international standards, or unrestricted input.
* **Support for Global & Custom Formats**:
  * **US/Canada Standard**: `(XXX) XXX-XXXX` or `XXX-XXX-XXXX`
  * **International (E.164)**: `+1 555-123-4567` (with country code support)
  * **Custom Masks & Extensions**: Support for extensions (e.g., `ext. 1234`) and unformatted / raw digit storage.
* **Smart Auto-Formatting on Input**: As users type digits into phone fields on web or mobile, numbers automatically format to the selected mask in real time, reducing manual spacing errors.
* **Flexible Validation Options**: Configure validation rules to be strict (requiring an exact match to the selected format before saving) or lenient (allowing custom/freeform international numbers while preventing invalid special characters).
* **One-Touch Click-to-Call**: Phone numbers across grid, record details, and field tiles render as active `tel:`  links, allowing team members to initiate phone calls or open communication apps directly with a single click.
* **Seamless Import & Export Compatibility**: Bulk imports and integrations accept phone numbers in standard string or formatted structures without failing validation, automatically parsing and applying account formatting rules.
* **Full Mobile Parity (iOS & Android)**: Full support across mobile apps with native numeric keypads, automatic regional formatting during data entry, and direct tap-to-call functionality in the field.
