SFTP Integration
The SFTP integration enables secure, automated export of data from Asset Panda to a specified folder on an external SFTP server. Once the connection is authenticated and a folder is selected, Asset Panda can send data files to the server.
Prerequisites
Active Asset Panda subscription
Access to an external SFTP server
Authentication credentials (username/password or public key)
SFTP folder structure prepared for uploads
Administrator access in Asset Panda to configure the integration
Getting SFTP connection details
The SFTP connection values must be obtained from the administrator of the external SFTP server. Asset Panda does not provide SFTP hosting.
Required information:
SFTP Hostname – IP address or domain of the SFTP server
Port – Port number used by the SFTP server (commonly 22 or as specified)
Username – User account on the SFTP server
Password – Password for the SFTP user account (optional if using key-based authentication)
Destination Folder – Full path to the directory where files are dropped
If using public key authentication, download the public key from Asset Panda and install it on the server before initiating the connection.
Adding the SFTP integration in Asset Panda
Log in to Asset Panda with admin access.
Go to Settings > Account Management.
Under the appropriate module, click Manage under Integrations.
Open the Integration Store.
Locate the SFTP tile and click Add.
Switch to the Integrations in this module tab.
Click Configure.
Enter the SFTP Hostname.
Enter the Port.
Provide the Username.
Enter the Password or leave it blank if a public key is used.
Click Download public key if your server uses key-based login, and install it accordingly.
Click Test and save connection.
Once the connection is successful, click Continue with Mapping.
Defining the SFTP Destination Folder
Enter a Mapping Name to label the integration.
Click Browse to open the list of folders on the connected SFTP server.
Select the folder where the external system will place the files.
Click Done to confirm the folder selection.
Click Save to complete the setup.
Asset Panda monitors the selected destination folder and exports data files automatically.
